Hello Friends!
It has been a while and for good reason. There have been multiple things to deal with in these last two harrowing months. One wedding, two funerals and several other emergencies meant that everything else went on the back burner and I fell off the radar.
Remember my last happiness project? I’ve been busy being an umbrella. And you know that takes time.
It wasn’t all bad though, there were also good things happening and the roller coaster ride of these last couple of months was exhilarating and exhausting.
But here we are, at the dawn of a new year.
And I wish you a fabulous year ahead. One filled with love, peace and plenty of joy.
One thing I learned or at least reconfirmed, is that even in the midst of chaos, there is unspeakable joy. And it is right there in front of us. We just have to look with different eyes.
I hope this year you will find that joy right in front of you, and that it fills your heart so that it will continue to spread and infect others.

I’m hoping to have more time to do the things I love, like reading, writing and painting. Playing music, reading books and spending time in conversation. And I have so many photographs to organize too and memories to record. I’m on a mission to get that done this year. Fingers crossed!

You know Susan, that’s exactly what it was. I thought about that then. And wow! What a storm, both literally and figuratively. And one great lesson I learned or perhaps relearned, is that even in the midst of chaos we can find moments of joy and wonder.

Life can just bob up and hit you on the head, or in the heart, Alegria. Sorry for your sorrows but I’m sitting here coughing myself sillier- and that takes effort! But flu is much preferable to being dead and gone. Take it slowly and take good care of yourself. Happy 2024!
